About Us

Charles and Limey's is the vision of Limey Nargelenas, who has been a former restaurantour in Springfield, and Charles Soares, who with his wife Loneth owns The Gateway of India - Springfield's premier Indian restaurant.

Their focus with Charles and Limey's is to provide great service along with an innovative menu featuring tapas, steak, seafood and fine wine. The restaurant also features a casual lunch menu with creative daily changes by the executive chef. Many other specialties grace the menu, from Koby and organic beef to lobster and even ostrich! Our wine list primarily focuses on wines from California, Illinois, France, New Zealand and Argentina. We also feature a moderate international selection of beers, and a comprehensive selection of the finest Vodkas, homemade Aquavits and single malt Scotches. Our piano bar adds mood music to complete the ambiance.

Located near the state capital building in a beautiful 9,900 square foot brick building reminiscent of the fine restaurants of old, Charles and Limey's eclectic mix of antique stained glass, comfortable table settings and soothing warm colors make it the perfect place to stop for a drink or small business meeting. The upscale location hosts two full bars, a beautiful outdoor seating area and a private conference room with internet access.

During the summer months you can enjoy our outside patio where we offer a special summer drink menu, including exotic drinks as well as non-alcoholic offerings. The patio is a fun, casual atmosphere for the summer crowd. In Spring and Fall the patio has heated lamps so customers can still enjoy dining outside.
